[D400M P05] TPA3255 Mono PBTL RTR Kit
A high-power mono amplifier module built for flexible system integration and demanding low-impedance operation.
This module is based on the TPA3255 in a mono PBTL, non-PFFB configuration and is intended for applications where high output power, configurability, and robust protection are required.
The amplifier delivers 250 W into 4 Ω at 1% THD+N, with stable operation across a wide range of speaker loads.
Signal Options
The input stage supports both full differential and single-ended signal configurations, allowing easy integration into a variety of audio systems.
Replaceable Op-Amp Socket
A socketed input-stage op-amp allows users to select or replace the op-amp IC, providing flexibility for system tuning or maintenance without board modification.
Split Supply Design
The op-amp buffer section uses a split supply, eliminating redundant input coupling capacitors at the frontend. This reduces the number of components in the signal path and helps preserve signal integrity.
Low-Impedance Capability
The module is capable of driving 2 Ω loads, delivering up to 600 W (20 Hz–20 kHz, clipping conditions) without triggering protection, making it suitable for subwoofer and high-current applications.
Protection and Reliability Features
-TVS diode for power supply surge protection
-Reverse polarity protection* to prevent damage from incorrect supply connection
-Voltage supervisor IC for silent turn-on and turn-off behavior, minimizing audible pops or clicks
-An official ATS heatsink designed for the TPA3255 is used to ensure effective thermal dissipation and stable operation, even in sustained high-current or 2 Ω subwoofer setups.
Multi-Device Configuration Support
-Solder jumpers allow straightforward configuration for master/slave operation in multi-module systems
-Accessible OSC IOM / IOP pads located on the underside of the PCB enable channel expansion and system scaling (refer to SLAA787 for configuration details)
*Requires power supply with overcurrent protection.
Elna Silmic II input coupling caps.
